J.A. Henckels International Eversharp 8-Piece Steak Knife Set

It’s hard to find a nice looking and sharp knife set that is affordable. Which is why I as a little skeptical about the functionality of these Henckels knives. Even though I was skeptical, I decided I would give the J.A. Henckels International Eversharp 8-Piece Steak Knife Set a chance. More or less because they were under $30, so I wouldn’t be out a substantial amount of money.

I have heard a lot about the quality of Henckels knives and their durability. But I was not prepared for them to be as good as I had heard after a few months. Most of the reviews I had read were all when the person just purchased the set, so of course they would still be very sharp.

I decided that I would hold off on my review until I had owned my Henckels knives for at least 6 months before I would voice my opinion. I forgot at six months, so I am writing my review after 8 months of ownership and almost continual use. Here is what I found with my J.A. Henckels International Eversharp 8-Piece Steak Knife Set.

Obviously, these Henckels knives were very sharp upon opening them. There was no need to really use my weight to force these knives to cut through my cooked, uncooked and sometimes overcooked meat!

After almost 7 months of owning my Henckels knives I did need to sharpen 2 of them. This is because I tend to use my steak knives to prepare my food, chop veggies and such. The two knives that need to be sharpened are the two that I use on a daily basis, I know this because they are the first two on my magnetic strip!

Overall, these knives are great. Lightweight, sharp and comfortable in my hand. I usually would not recommend a product that is this inexpensive, but I feel others deserve to know that these Henckels knives are inexpensive not cheap.
